DemoForge

Cookie Policy

Last updated: 12 June 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how DemoForge uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies. We use only first-party cookies that are strictly necessary or functional for the Service. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell data to advertisers.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. "Local storage" is a related browser technology that stores small preferences on your device. Both are described together here.

2. Cookies we use

Because we only set strictly-necessary and functional cookies, a consent banner is not required for them under EU/Finnish rules. These cookies are needed for the Service to work and to remember your choices.

Cookie / keyPurposeTypeDuration
sb-<project>-auth-token (and related Supabase auth keys) Keeps you signed in and maintains your authenticated session. Strictly necessary Session / until sign-out or expiry
df_active_org Remembers which workspace (organization) you are currently working in. Functional Up to 1 year
df-guide-locale Remembers your preferred language for viewing a published demo. Functional Persistent
df_unlock_<product> Granted after you enter the correct password for a protected demo, so you don't have to re-enter it on every page. Strictly necessary Session-based
df_slink_<product> Set only when you open a demo through a personalised share link. It tells the workspace that shared the link that their link was opened and which demo screens were viewed. It contains a random link identifier — no name, email, or cross-site data — but the sender may have labelled the link with your name or company. Functional (share-link attribution) 30 days
df_lead_<product> Set after you submit your details to an email-gated demo, so you aren't asked for them again on every page. It stores a random identifier for the record you created; the details themselves (email, and any name/company you entered) are held by the workspace that published the demo. Functional (lead capture) 30 days

3. Local storage (preferences)

We store a few non-essential preferences in your browser's local storage rather than in cookies. These never leave your device and are not sent to our servers:

KeyPurpose
df-themeYour light / dark appearance choice.
df-wide-viewYour narrow / wide layout choice.
df-announcements-dismissedRemembers which in-app announcements you've dismissed.

4. Third-party cookies

When you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies as part of the authentication flow, governed by Google's privacy and cookie policies. Aside from authentication providers, the Service does not embed third-party advertising or analytics trackers. Viewing analytics for published demos are collected on our servers in aggregate and do not rely on tracking cookies that identify individual viewers — unless you open a demo through a personalised share link, in which case the df_slink_ cookie described above attributes your views to that link for its sender.

5. Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies above are strictly necessary or functional, blocking them may stop you from signing in, switching workspaces, or viewing protected demos.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
